Whether you require relaxation, relief from pain or injury management, massage can help.
Marina is adept at finding the areas you know are causing you pain or discomfort, as well as the ones that you are not aware of.
Numerous studies conducted and collated by the Touch Research Institute in Miami, show the many benefits of massage from aggression to spinal cord injuries.
Treatments (excluding Pregnancy) include traditional glass cupping or modern (silicone) cupping if required.
Marina finds she often treats people who have attended Physio’s or Chiro’s and, in many cases, can achieve similar results. She welcomes collaboration with other health therapists regarding an injury you may have. Her method is focussed on finding the root of the problem through a holistic approach.
Cupping is an ancient technique stemming from as early as 500 BC
Cupping involves using a flame to displace air from a glass cup to create a vacuum. This is then placed on the body which creates suction. This action draws blood into the area helping ease tension and release stagnant blood, allowing for more free movement of the muscle tissue.
Whilst cupping is often confused with bruising, it is usually stagnant blood in the body that causes such discolouration.
A similar technique and concept as traditional cupping except with the use of silicone cups. Great for knees and elbows or bony protuberances of the body that are hard to massage. Excellent for stretching the fascia slowly to open it up. Generally, it will not leave as much of a mark as Traditional (glass) cupping.
Cupping is available at no extra cost in a massage treatment and is a highly effective tool, particularly in releasing chronic damage or area’s that have become hard and stuck.
A sublime treatment!
Lovely warm heat from volcanic hot rocks applied to the body in remedial massage style to help with chronic stress or tension.
Great for healing injuries!! Great for high anxiety, stress, chronic pain and cold in the body, plus more!
All the benefits of a hot bath on a table. Simply needs to be tried, to be appreciated!
Suitable for women past their first trimester.
Enjoy adjusting to your body’s changing needs with a pregnancy massage. Whilst no Pregnancy table is available, ie; hole in the table for your tummy to sit, you will be made comfortable with bolsters on the massage table in a side lying position. To be honest, it’s never really been an issue for most women as they “zone out” during the massage.
PLEASE NOTE; Traditional or Modern cupping not offered to pregnant women due to contraindications.
